Transition at Year 11

During Year 9, 10 and 11 pupils start to think more about life after Saxon Mount. They will have a number of opportunities to engage with local colleges and training providers. We hope that over the course of the 2 years pupils become more confident and by the time they leave they feel well prepared for their next step.

As part of the EHCP meetings in Year 9, 10 and 11 college and transition options will be discussed.

During Year 10 pupils will be offered the opportunity to complete Year 10 taster days at local colleges.

During Year 11 pupils will be offered

• Visits to local colleges
• Opportunity to meet local colleges at events and parents evenings
• Support with completing applications to college
• Support preparing for and at interview
• Individual or small group transition visits
